End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (EULA) is a legal agreement between you (the Licensee) and The Abe Nehrer Font Company (ANFCo). By downloading, installing, or using ANFCo Font Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this license. If you do not agree, do not use the Font Software.

1. Definitions

  • Font Software: Coded and encrypted software created by ANFCo that generates typeface designs when used with appropriate hardware and software. This includes all updates, documentation, webfont files, trial versions, or other assets associated with the font.​

  • Licensee: The purchaser of the Font Software or the company or organization that the purchaser represents.​

2. Grant of License

Upon purchase, ANFCo grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Font Software under the terms specified in this agreement. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by ANFCo.​

3. Permitted Installations and Uses

  • Installations: The Font Software may be installed and used by the Licensee within their organization in accordance with the size of the Licensee as specified at the time of purchase. The Licensee’s organization size will determine the number of users, devices, and websites on which the Font Software may be installed or used. The Font Software may be installed on any number of devices within the Licensee's organization, and may be used on any number of websites owned and controlled by the Licensee. The cost of a Commercial license is determined based on the Licensee’s organization size. If the Licensee’s organization size increases, the Licensee must acquire a new license to reflect the updated size.


  • Design Uses: Use of the Font Software in the creation of design works, rasterized images for websites, and personal or professional projects is permitted, provided that no unauthorized copies of the Font Software are transferred to any unlicensed party. Other terms governing the use of the Font Software are described within this Agreement.​

  • Logo Usage: Use of the Font Software in the creation of company logos is permitted. However, the Font Software may not be included in editable or redistributable templates.​

  • Embedding: Embedding of the Font Software in electronic documents (such as PDFs) is allowed only in a read-only, non-editable format. The Font Software may be installed on any number of devices within the Licensee's organization, and may be used on any number of websites owned and controlled by the Licensee. The Licensee may serve the Fonts on websites using the CSS @font-face rule and in the WOFF and WOFF2 formats. Use of the Fonts in OTF format on the web is strictly prohibited.

4. Restrictions

The Licensee may not, without express written permission:

  1. Transfer: Transfer, sublicense, sell, lease, rent, lend, or give away the Font Software or documentation to another person or entity.​

  2. Modification: Rename, modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise alter the Font Software.​

  3. Distribution: Upload the Font Software to online generators or unlicensed conversion tools.​

  4. Public Access: Store the Font Software in publicly accessible cloud folders or on shared drives without access restrictions.​

  5. Derivative Works: Create derivative works based on the Font Software or the design of the fonts embodied therein without express written permission from ANFCo.

5. Third-Party Use

If you require the services of a third party (e.g., a commercial printer or service bureau) for production purposes, you may provide the necessary Font Software, provided that:​

  • The third party agrees to use the Font Software exclusively for your work.

  • Upon completion of the work, the third party deletes or returns the Font Software and retains no copies.​

6. Embedding and Broadcasting

Embedding of the Font Software in software, hardware, or electronic devices, as well as use in broadcast on television, cable, the internet, or in film, requires a separate license upgrade. Please contact ANFCo for more information.​

7. Modifications and Derivative Works

You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the Font Software without the express prior written consent of ANFCo. However, you may import characters from the Font Software as graphical objects into a drawing program and modify such graphical objects.​

8. Copyright and Intellectual Property

The Font Software and the designs embodied therein are the exclusive property of ANFCo. This license grants you certain limited rights to use the Font Software only; no permanent or ownership rights are granted as part of this contract. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Font Software, the designs of the fonts embodied therein, together with the copyrights, trademarks, trade names, and service marks associated with the Font Software, are each the exclusive property of ANFCo.​

9. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Any breach of the terms of this Agreement shall be cause for termination. In the event of termination, and without limitation of any remedies under law and equity, you agree to immediately return the Font Software to ANFCo and certify that no copy remains in your possession or control.​

10. Warranties and Liability

ANFCo makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall ANFCo be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages—such as loss of profits or data—arising from the use or inability to use the Font Software. ANFCo’s maximum liability shall not exceed the replacement cost of the product.​

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or related to this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Dutch law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes related to this Agreement shall be the courts located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
